The source for the fund was made possible by the inheritance from Raymond and Rebecca Robertson of St. Clair, Missouri.  Brother Robinson was a member of St. Louis Lodge No. 5 who passed away in 1985.  In 2002 through an addition to Lodge No. 5 By-Laws, the Robinson Benevolent Fund was established for the purpose of awarding scholarships to students entering college and donations to charities. The fund was made possible by the inheritance from Raymond and Rebecca Robertson of St. Clair, Missouri. The first scholarship awards were made in 2004. The program is administered by the trustees of Lodge No. 5 with oversight by the members of St. Louis Lodge No. 5. The program presently has an administrator to oversee their applications, recommending awards of the scholarships and tracking of awards made both within the Order and without. All awards are selected and approved by the Trustees of St. Louis Lodge No. 5. Awards are made with primary consideration to academic achievement and financial need. All donations to charities are presented to the members of St. Louis Lodge No 5. for approval.
